US Wireless Online, Inc. just got a new CEO and a new customer, rounding out their client roster to 300. Chairman of the Board David Ragland said, “Since the first days of the internet, there’s been a growing demand for speed.” He believes US Wireless, which wirelessly beams T-1 or higher speed internet connection to businesses from local towers, can answer this demand. Bridge Communications’ CEO, Darren Rand said, “We have over 30 computers networked onto the US Wireless Online beam and we take a 2 Mbps. Stream. The speed is incredible. Our art directors are constantly uploading and downloading huge files in a matter of seconds. Even better, this system can match our own… growth curve.”
Stepping up to the management team, hoping to develop US Wireless’ own growth curve is L. Douglas Keeney, CEO. Formerly CEO of Avion Park in Louisville, Kentucky, Keeney has served at start up and agency alike, including giants Benton & Bowles and Young & Rubicam. Also a published author, Keeney’s seventh book, “Secret Messages,” was scheduled to be released in January by Simon & Schuster.
“When I heard the US Wireless Online story, I said ‘yes’ in about a minute,” said Keeney of his new appointment. “This place is for no shrinking violets… We’re adding towers, heavily recruiting in our sales and marketing departments, and expanding into three states….” Local expansion continues with the addition of the King Plow Art Center and The Telephone Factory, which were provisioned for wireless connectivity.
