Digital Projections Hits the Slopes Digital Projections Hits the Slopes

Everyone wants to make it to Sundance – film aficionados, hot young stars, inspired directors… Digital Projections (DPI) has made it big time. The company’s digital projectors were cast for digital screenings at the festival. This will be the third consecutive year that Digital Projections has supplied projectors for the event. High definition documentaries, features, and shorts will premiere in Park City courtesy of Digital Projections’ technology. DPI will also provide projectors for the festival’s internationally televised awards ceremony on the closing night.

DPI has made some impressive sales as well. They recently sold the first commercial digital DLP Camera projector for use in a multi-plex to Japanese cinema operator, T-Joy. DPI will provide projectors for the company’s future cinemas for a three-year term secured in the agreement. The first of the cinema trio opened in Hiroshima on December 9. T-Joy was established by a consortium led by a major Japanese film company, TOEI.
