If you’re a woman, working with Dylan McDermott, of ABC’s “The Practice” fame, is a dream of a lifetime. The women at Fletcher Martin Ewing (FME) have probably felt like they have been sleepwalking a lot lately. FME recently announced the release of a multimedia campaign for Cellular South which will include TV, radio and in store advertising featuring McDermott, the blue eyed, black haired wonder. In the campaign, FME hopes to mimic the voice and tone of the brand with the qualities and strengths of a celebrity. FME’s Creative Director, Gus Pitsikoulis, said, “Dylan’s personality fits the brand personality perfectly, and that’s what makes it work. The key was to present him in a natural, credible way so consumers would feel they are having a conversation with an intelligent, charismatic friend.”

Director Paul Boyd, whose portfolio of music video production includes Sting and Shania Twain and commercial production for Target and Jaguar, partnered with FME to position the Cellular South brand. The company’s tagline says it all, “When you’re on, you’re on.” The campaign will focus on breaking through the clutter of wireless communication and the messaging of wireless companies, offering solutions to consumers’ issues.

The ads were scheduled to break on January 28th, during the Superbowl XXXV frenzy. Radio was scheduled to break February 9th. Both will be available for viewing via streaming video and audio on the company’s website. Though the company is regional, FME has already bought spots on all the major networks including Discovery, CNN, TNT, ESPN, VH1, USA, Lifetime, and Comedy. Spots will run in Cellular South’s markets – Mississippi, Pensacola, and Mobile.

FME is also boasting three new wins, ACCION USA, Interactive Apparel, and Page Gard Smiley & Bishop. The first is a private, non-profit organization that provides credit to low and moderate income women and men who are self-employed. FME PR will handle the organization’s media and community relations and local event planning.

Interactive Apparel offers internet distribution options for apparel and accessories manufacturers. The company’s clients include FUBU, Y2G.com, and Willie. FME PR, besides getting some hot new gear, will handle public and media relations in consumer and trade markets.

Based in Atlanta, Page Gard Smiley & Bishop, is a securities fraud litigation and arbitration firm. FME PR is taking on logo design, website assistance, trade and general media relations, newsletter production, speakers bureau and byline commentary writing.
