Mo’ Money for Freebairn Mo’ Money for Freebairn
With $12,000,000 in new business, Freebairn & Co. treated itself. The agency added 40% more space at the end of 2000, moving from the East to the North Tower of the Atlanta Financial Center in Buckhead. Vibrant colors and expanded space were complemented with carpet, a living room style lounge, ping pong and foosball tables, and a punching bag (a benefit to any agency).
The additional space follows an influx of new clients. Television, print and radio ads Freebairn created for Stoneville Pedigreed Seed Co. were scheduled to break in February. The agency won the Saia motor freight account, a regional trucking company headquartered in Duluth. Saia operates a fleet of 2,800 trucks with terminals from Virginia to Texas. Freebairn will handle creative development, advertising, database marketing, promotions, and PR.
December was a good month for Freebairn. They also won business from Castrol Heavy Duty Lubricants in Baltimore. Freebairn will handle full service advertising efforts for the unit of BP. The agency was selected from nine agency finalists. The agency’s winning streak also included Harland Business Solutions. The Atlanta headquartered check printer named Freebairn its agency of record. President, John Fitzgerald said, “We had a great run at the end of a tough year. We lost one of our largest clients last spring due to their merger. We didn’t let a single person go as a result of the loss. We just sucked it up and went to war to win business back.”
