Women Who Roar Women Who Roar
Women in Film Atlanta (WIFA) opened the new year with a meeting and a seminar featuring author Robin Fisher Roffer, who taught attendees how to “Make a Name for Yourself: Eight Steps Every Woman Needs to Create a Personal Brand Strategy for Success,” also the title of her book. “Your brand is like your thumbprint – totally unique to you,” Roffer told the more than 100 attendees. “The better you treat your brand, the more successful you will be.” The book, published by Broadway Books, offers many morsels of wisdom, business smarts, and personal aphorism-like truths. Some tips Roffer offers: Discipline is the key to happiness, make your exterior reflect your interior, get a tagline, how you say what you say is most important. She says that if your every day work reflects your dreams, it’s the best of both worlds and what she terms “...mining the same vein of gold. If you are modeling, acting and doing consulting in companies, that is in line with a dream of being a motivational trainer and speaker. If you are in real estate and trying to write screen plays, you can succeed but it will be much more difficult.”
