Two Atlanta music industry vets recently joined to open Leprechaun Entertainment. The two Jons, Jon Herron and Jon O’Driscoll bring 23 years of combined experience to their new company. Leprechaun’s production division will focus on producing DVD’s for record companies and corporate clients while the label division will handle DVD product creation and placement for individual artists and self-produced projects. The company will serve artists in the music, film, video, and entertainment industries to create, market, and obtain distribution for DVD products.
O’Driscoll will bring his experience of eight years as Vice President of Touring and Marketing for Alliance Artists Ltd. Throughout his career, O’Driscoll has been involved with the personal management and day-to-day affairs for Lynyrd Skynyrd, STYX, Bad Company, Peter Frampton, and The Freddy Jones Band. He has been involved with the marketing and coordination of over 400 major concert performances.
For over 15 years, Herron has focused his energies on production, working with such artists as TLC, Toni Braxton, Baby Face, Tony Rich, Usher, Third Eye Blind, and Shawn Colvin. He has had his hand in feature films, radio, television, multi media and live performances, as well as audio and video production. Herron has worked with Walt Disney, Smithsonian, HBO, TNT, TBS, CNN, Microsoft, The Cartoon Network, and J. Walter Thompson.
Leprechaun Entertainment’s first production effort resulted in the release of STYX and REO Speedwagon’s “Arch Allies – Live at Riverport” DVD on CMC/Sanctuary Records.
