Students Vie for the Big Prize Students Vie for the Big Prize

The National Portfolio Review Scholarship Competition follows the school of thought, “get ‘em started while they’re young.” Nine local high school students made it to the semifinal round of competition, getting closer and closer to the awards, totaling over $200,000 in Art Institute scholarships. Art Institutes across the country held semifinal competitions in March, examining high school students’ life drawings, illustrations, and advertisements. Finalists were showcased and judged online. Winners received scholarships worth up to $25,000 to attend the Art Institute of their choice. The bounty for the recipient of the People’s Choice Award, based on site visitors, was an Apple Macintosh G-4 Cube.
