Patty Knap Tucker Steps Up Patty Knap Tucker Steps Up
The Headline Group’s Patty Knap Tucker must be getting accustomed to praise. Last year Tucker was inducted into Leadership Atlanta and 2001 sees Tucker stepping up to Executive Vice President. In her new role, Tucker will head THG’s new business development initiatives and act as principal on many of the agency’s clients.
THG’s management team is rolling along pretty strongly. Two members recently received kudos with Accreditation in Public Relations (APR), administered by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). VP Mary Cammack Eitel and Director Carol Milliron accepted accreditation. The THG team also recently saw an addition to its armory. Matthew Spaulding joined the agency as Account Supervisor. A graduate of Western Michigan University and Mercer Unviersity, Spaulding brings nearly 10 years experience to the agency. Spaulding, whose client work includes WeServeHomes.com, Stress Recess, Aircond, and Spencer Stuart, will head the THG team of Jennifer Taylor and Will Ellis.
THG has won two new accounts. Six Flags Over Georgia and Janosch have selected THG for comprehensive public relations services. For Six Flags Over Georgia, owned by Six Flags Inc. out of Oklahoma City and New York, THG will provide strategic counsel and media relations for the park’s 2001 season which will see the largest capital investment in their history.
THG will work with Atlanta entrepreneur, Oliver Kahf who has secured U.S. licensing to launch the first North American Janosch store, a brand name character named for a German based children’s artist and author. Pronounced “yanosch,” the company plans to open its first North American retail store in Phipps Plaza this fall. THG will provide regional and national PR services and manage the store’s grand openings.
In April, THG added three more clients from the retail to the hospitality sectors, from diamonds to gurneys… – Tiffany & Co., Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA), and Northside Hospital. The jewelry and retail store, renowned for quality and elegance, has selected the agency to provide local and regional customer development in addition to ongoing media relations. AAHOA tapped the agency’s resources in preparation for the organization’s annual conference held in Atlanta in March. Keynote speaker for this year’s event, is none other than former President Bill Clinton. For Northside Hospital, THG will manage PR messaging, highlighting the hospital’s areas of expertise, oncology and radiology.
