In February, Philips Arena mixed its marketing department up. Andrew Vedlitz comes in as Director of Marketing and Business Development to lead the new team, combining the previous marketing and business development staff. Vedlitz, who will answer to Vice President Trey Feazell will also handle public relations for the venue.
Vedlitz comes to the arena from Career Sports Management, where he served as VP of Marketing. Prior to his position there, he worked as VP of Marketing for the Metro Atlanta Super Bowl XXXIV Host Committee. His experience in Atlanta’s sports and marketing scenes has also included roles at ProServ, WCJ/Y&R, Wachovia Bank, and with the Peach Bowl through the Atlanta Sports Council. A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, Vedlitz is a graduate of Ohio University.
Anne-Marie Dixon has been promoted to Assistant Director of Marketing and will oversee event promotions, marketing, advertising, and community relations for the 20,000 seat venue. Prior to joining Philips, Dixon was Senior Marketing Manager for Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, NY for 13 years.
Kevin Preast has been promoted to Assistant Director of Business Development. He previously held positions as Manger of Premium Seating and Operations for the arena and was part of the opening teams of both the arena and the Ice Palace in Tampa.
David Guida will serve the new team as Marketing Coordinator.
