O’Dowd Starts Big Idea O’Dowd Starts Big Idea

Co-Founder, VP, and Chief Creative Officer of BrightHouse, Elizabeth O’Dowd left the company to open her own endeavor, a think tank called Big Idea Consulting. The company will focus on branding, including naming, design, ideation, advertising, web design, and strategy.

O’Dowd is not a stranger to strategy or to starting a new business. She helped to open BrightHouse and during her tenure there, worked on many notable campaigns for client Coty and the launch of their time honored perfumes, Ghost Myst and Raw Vanilla. Her work brought her the International Fragrance Industry’s most prestigious award, the FIFI. During her relationship with Coty, O’Dowd was involved in the evolution and birth of The Healing Garden, a Coty brand of aromatherapy.

In her work, O’Dowd pays particular attention to hues and color. A color theorist, her work has included clients such as Coca-Cola Company, Georgia-Pacific Corporation, MetLife, Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Bass Hotels & Resorts. Big Idea will be up and running with current clients: Traditional Matchmakers, Stoke City Football Club, Aviana Bras, Hodges, Coca-Cola, HGTV, Storehouse Furniture, Boyds and Manning/Abelow.
