The Rev Is Up The Rev Is Up
Design, marketing, and ad agency the rev has recently revamped its website. Lo cated in Stoveworks and replete with a recreational pool table, the agency is run by David Allen Baker and Andreas Forsland. Recent newsworthy tidbits from the rev. Founder Forsland visited Emory to lead a seminar as part of Evening at Emory, a community continuing education series. The course, sponsored by the Ad Club highlighted issues in the advertising arena, particularly how internet branding has transformed the industry. Forsland, along with Matt Thornhill of Abovo Marketing discussed tactics available with the medium, using specific cases to prove what has been effective and what has not.
The agency’s recent work includes a website for Electronic Classroom which provides furniture systems that integrate computer hardware, electrical/communication wiring, and furniture. Envisioning a look that combined “Steelcase and Herman Miller,” said Forsland, the redesigned site has a clean navigation system and an ever-changing home page that displays another option every time the visitor returns.
The rev also did some work for Capital Grille. With the busy season imminent, Capital Grille approached the rev to ignite their advertising campaign including their online presence and brand aware ness in concentrated markets like Dallas, Minneapolis, Houston, and Charlotte. The rev tested a range of creative messages for the Grille, a brand concept of Rare Hospitality International, to determine the restaurant’s demographic, how to effectively drive traffic to the site, encourage gift certificate sales and foot traffic. Forsland said the rev hit the season head on… “and in record time. Start to finish, we conducted strategic sessions, developed creative, and the media plan, and distributed to each market in all under 30 days.”
