The internet space may have taken a hit in the past few months, but it has not become stagnant. Four veterans of the business have formed breatheinteractive, opening the new interactive agency in April. Three of breathe’s principals come from 360i.com, formerly part of the agency’s management, strategy, account management, and media departments.
Mickey Cohen, Heidi Klein, and Erin Greenwald, leaving 360i.com after a round of layoffs joined with Scott Hagedorn, formerly Vice President of Advertising and Business Communications for 360i.com client, Mpower Communications. According to Klein, Mpower disbanded its Atlanta based marketing team in November. In January, Hagedorn recruited his former agency team to round out the new venture.
Collectively, the breatheinteractive team has had experience in both the technology and advertising sectors. Cohen previously led strategic planning at Pollack, Levitt and Nel and later at 360i.com for clients including Georgia Power, Alamo, and Webtrends. Klein’s experience has involved database and direct marketing with New York agencies, Wunderman Cato Johnson and Rapp Collins Worldwide, working on brands like M&M/Mars and General Electric. Greenwald’s media experience extends from BBDO South and J. Walter Thompson on the Delta Air Lines and Georgia Pacific brands. Previously with WestWayne, Hagedorn handled brand planning for BellSouth, Salem, and AT&T Paradyne.
The agency’s roster already includes three clients — BroadRiver Comm unications, a broadband communication service provider; GourmetStation.com, a gourmet foods seller; and Millscale, a modern furniture company.
