The Story on Storyville The Story on Storyville

Storyville Pictures opened its satellite Atlanta office this March in the King Plow Arts Center. Its original office, in Venice Beach, California, opened in November 1999 and Director Glen Owen joined as Partner this January after leaving Wall To Wall Films in New York. Owen previously worked with Turner Creative Services and Fireside Productions. With a website on the way, the company has reps strategically located in New York, Chicago, and the West Coast.

The Atlanta team welcomed Mark Ellensohn of Manhattan Beach, California in March as Director/Cameraman, specializing in shooting cars. He recently completed a package for Honda/Japan showcasing his specialty and his particular way of using light. Dirk Detweiler will serve Storyville as Executive Producer.

Owen’s recent work on a campaign for Titan Insurance recently won a Midwest Regional ADDY. And last month, Storyville worked with King Plow neighbor Artifact on a spot for TNT Sports on Wimbledon. Shot in the desert, just outside the Indian Wells Tennis Gardens in sunny Palm Beach, California, the production team had to build a grass court in the midst of the desert. The spot will run on AdCritic.com. The Storyville team also traveled to Tampa, Florida on an image project for a new client, The Weather Channel. Despite rain and hailstorms (it’s par for the course when your client is The Weather Channel) the shots were completed and will air starting in mid June.
