The MAG 2001 Conference was a “big” event. Georgia’s publishers, editors, writers, and creatives gathered at the Marietta Conference Center to learn, share, and network. Speakers representing such national faves as W and Esquire spoke on subjects ranging from the integrity of editorial to combing through the good and bad on newstands. The conference was topped off with an award presentation honoring the best of the best in Georgia’s publishing industry and judged by faculty members of the Northwestern University Medhill School of Journalism. Oz proudly claimed Gold in General Excellence, Gold in Design and Gold for Best Cover in the Business to Business category.

Thanks to all of our winning contributors including Lynda Green whose cover photograph made quite a “splash,” Lisa Cunard and Steve Hedberg of Kudzu Graphics for their creative eyes, and of course to the writers who gave us something to make a magazine with - Dianna Edwards, Allen Rabinowitz, and Sue Wasserman.
