Time is nearing for Atlanta Celebrates Photography (ACP), the third annual festival honoring photography. The non profit program brings the public and the photography community to gether with festivities including gallery openings across Atlanta, portfolio reviews, an auction, and of course, a party. This year’s focal event will be the exhibition of the world’s largest camera — a Polaroid 20x24 camera standing five feet high and weighing in at 235 pounds. Reservations to use the camera may be made through tom@acpinfo.org. Artists who have used the camera include famed photographers: William Wegman, David Levinthal, and Joyce Tenneson. Tenneson, represented in Atlanta by Fay Gold Gallery, will speak as part of the lecture series in addition to Pulitzer Prize winner, John Kaplan. The silent auction is scheduled for October 20 to coincide with the celebration party. Those interested in donating art can call 404-885-9240 by October 13.
