Hothead Speeds to Good Deeds Hothead Speeds to Good Deeds

Hothead Studios combined with speed and design make a fun event. The company recently held their annual Hothead 400 Pinecar Derby to benefit The Atlanta Children’s Shelter. With a long sponsor list and a longer contributor list, Hothead accomplished what they set out to do —that is, to bring the creative community together and to raise money for a worthwhile cause. Both beautiful goals and accomplished in a way only Hothead can.

Hothead’s Kevin Rej said, “The pinecars we saw were incredible... They really knocked our socks off.” He then added, “Now we have no socks.”

Guests of the Derby gathered in the Stoveworks Building near Inman Park to see cars ranging from thematic (a farm, King Kong…) to straightforward (read: sleek and aerodynamic) to embellished and sequined. Participants included Trone Advertising, BBDO South, Current, Inc., Big Design, Inc., Executive Arts Inc., T. Dean White Creative, PMS Design, SFI Design Studio, FPD3, and Blue Sky Inc. For a complete list of participants or to get information about participating in a future event, visit Hot head’s website.

At the end of the day, Hothead handed a check made out to The Atlanta Children’s Shelter for $5,000.
