Tube Makes Art Spot Tube Makes Art Spot
Combining their creative services with artistry seemed natural for media agency, Tube. In early August, Tube opened part of their 9,000 square foot loft space as a local “Art Spot.” Artists can use the 2,000 square feet to exhibit their work commission free and to host solo or group shows. Chris Downs, owner of Tube, along with wife Ann-Marie Manker Downs, an artist and art teacher, started Art Spot with the idea of helping local artists network and gain exposure. Selected artists will collaborate with Tube on redesigning the loft space to fit their artistic need, setting up installations to their liking. Tube plans on showcasing new artists every few months.
