Tech Rentals, in association with HBO, provided audiovisual services for the screening and symposium of “Boycott,” an HBO original production. The screening was held on the campus of Alabama State University in Montgomery, the site of the now famous Montgomery Bus Boycott. Guests and panelists in clud ed Coretta Scott King, wife of civil rights leader Reverend Martin Luther King; Juanitta Abernathy, wife of the late Reverend Ralph David Abernathy; and Fred Grey, the attorney that spearheaded the legal fight of the famous boycott. A private screening for members of the King family was held at Atlanta’s Four Seasons Hotel. Tech Ren tals provided a 9x16 high definition screen, Digital Betacam playback, Digital Projec tion Highlite 5GV Projectors, JBL sound system, and microphones for the screen ings in all locations.

The company also provided audiovisual staging services and equipment for A&E’s original production of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic, “The Great Gatsby.” Simultaneous screenings were held at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta and Troy State University’s Davis Theater in Montgomery, Alabama. A final screening at Charleston’s Rivera Theat er was followed by a gala event, attended by a full house of Charleston’s elite. The premier broadcast was seen nationwide on A&E Cable Network.
