Toybox Does Stuff Toybox Does Stuff
Toybox is going to be doing it differently. The production company wants to cover new ground, longer ground. In its two year history, Toybox has mainly de livered in the commercial production arena. Said John Petrini, Director and Executive Producer, “ We essentially have two offices now. Atlanta will be the commercial and series television division and the new L.A. [office] will focus on documentary and feature films.”
The first projects born under this new star are already underway. A documentary about a WWII ship and her crew, directed by James Moran and titled “Pon dera,” already hit post production and is scheduled for release at the end of the year. The company’s first feature, “Fair Weather,” written and directed by Petrini, began scouting talent in Rhode Island and Atlanta in June. The company also developed a weekly television show, “101.” The pilot was shopped to the Discovery Channel/The Learning Channel.
