Continuing Cingular’s now distinct brand of expression with the em blematic and enigmatic orange splat, BBDO South completed a new round for the wireless company’s national ad campaign. The new spots promote Cingular as the official partner of Special Olympics and official sponsor of Special Olympics Team USA.
The campaign debuted with national network TV ads followed by cable and spot ads in major Cin gular markets. National print ads support the on air campaign. Pam Thomas, known for work on Nike and Reebok, directed the spots. Moxie Pictures produced them. BBDO’s Senior VP/Group Creative Directors, Bill Pauls and Rich Wake field, served respectively as Art Di rector and Copywriter. Jim Noble served as Exec utive Creative Director.
Another spot recently finished at BBDO continues the celebration of volunteerism, bringing the need for blood front and center. Though the spot was created a month before the events in New York and Washington D.C., it may serve to help fill blood banks desperate to be filled. Cable channels and network stations throughout Metro Atlanta are running the PSA inducing viewers to give blood. Credits for the spot include Jackie Hathiramani, concepting and copywriting; Rich Wakefield, Copywriter, and Jim Noble, Executive Creative Dir ector. Word from the American Red Cross is that blood donations have risen noticeably since the PSA first aired.
BBDO’s new hires include: as Account Executives - Kari Becker, formerly of Young & Rubicam; Jason Burnette, formerly of Data gistics; Mike Delaune, formerly of BBDO Houston. Hired as Assistant Account Executives were Ami Kantor, formerly of WestWayne; Alyssa Schofield formerly of Bernard Hodes Group. Promotions include Erin Peitso as Vice President, Man agement Super visor; Eric Sirlin, Media Planner and Missy Faucette as Account Executive.
