Sawyer Riley Compton (SRC) announced the following promotions and hires. Gary Budd became Senior Public Relations Counselor; Allie Noz nesky stepped up as Account Executive; Kimberly Shaw assumed the role of Media Planner; and Laura Hauseman was hired as Art Director. Lianne Gough, new Account Coordinator, brings her experience from BBDO South and Bayless Cronin to SRC. Giles Bencoe, formerly an Asst Media Plann er at WestWayne, joins the team as a Media Planner for the Ritz-Carl ton Hotel Co. account (whose full page ads are currently running in W Magazine).

SRC is using beavers to extol the virtues of client Dow Chemical Co. The animals, known for their eagerness to keep their homes in good shape, will exhibit the usefulness of Dow’s Great Stuff insulating foam. Bart Cleveland explained, “The spots feature two regular guys who like to do things together, who just happen to be dressed in beaver suits. What’s intriguing about the spots is they’re never acknowledged as beavers.”

Television and radio spots broke in September. Print ads debuted in October. Broadcast spots will run on The Weather Channel, Speedvision, DIY Network, Outdoor Life Network, and HGTV. Radio will hit ESPN Radio during major league baseball broadcasts and talk shows. Print ads are scheduled for Popular Mechanics, Family Handyman, Handy, This Old House, and Canadian Home Workshop.
